My personal favorite myth that people have actually tried to use as an excuse for copying my work is, "I didn't see a copyright notice so I didn't think it was." So be sure to read the section "If it doesn't have a copyright notice, it's not copyrighted." Whether it has an © or not, most everything on the web is copyrighted.
